The GarmatTM/ Geomat (Mulchmat) is a high performance product specifically engineered for solving difficult erosion control problems. It consists of top and bottom layers of a flexible non-biodegradable net and a middle layer of biodegradable mulch material. The biodegradable mulch material provides a high level of protection during the initial period required for the growth of vegetation. It also promotes growth of vegetation by retaining moisture and also conditioning of the soil. The synthetic nets enhance the effectiveness of vegetation in the short-term as well as long-term.
