The Geosynthetics Division of Garware-Wall Ropes Ltd. has developed solutions for Rockfall protection using steel wire rope nets depending on the site conditions.
We Garware-Wall ropes Ltd, have a jointly developed the product "Steel wire Ropenet" with Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd.
The factors, which could influence the selection of a particular product, are listed below.

Steel Wire Ropenets
They are made of high strength galvanized steel wire ropes.
The mesh size can be varied
depending upon the sizes of the fractured rock & the strength required. These are appropriate when high strengths are required; say to retain large size boulders. Steel wire rope nets made of high strength steel ropes are the ideal solution for rockfall protection. They can be installed for the height ranging from 10 m to 60 m. rope nets can be fabricated so as to suit the site conditions.

The steel wire boulder nets can also be used in combination with the Chain link mesh and GarmatTM the erosion control mat. The chain link mesh is used in places where the rock surface is fractured and the size of the rock fragments is small. It holds the fractured rock mass together with the support form the steel boulder nets. The GarmatTM is used with boulder nets when the there is a presence of soil and boulders together. The GarmatTM protects the surface from surface erosion while the boulder nets hold the boulders.
