We have all necessary testing facilities for Ropes, PPMF Yarn & Twine and Geo technical products such as Geotextiles, Geo tubes, Metal as well as Polymer Gabions & Steel Wire Boulder Nets.
Ropes are normally checked for breaking load, linear density, length of lay, diameter, 1000 cyclic load level etc. To check breaking load we have 1 ton capacity as well as 50 ton capacity tensile tester on which we can carryout destructive tests. Since ropes are checked for linear density, diameter and length of lay under tension, we have necessary tensioning device. All these test are carried out as per Indian as well as EN ISO or any other equivalent standard. 1000 Cyclic load level test for 8-Strand ropes can be carried out on our 50 ton capacity tensile tester as per OCIMF Guidelines 2000. Our tensile testers are computerized to get load Vs elongation graphs.
All our 8-Strand Mooring ropes which are used in shipping are tested in our laboratory in presence of Surveyor from Lloyd's Register Asia. All our tensile testers are calibrated yearly in presence of Surveyor from Lloyd's Register Asia. Certificate of Calibration for each tensile tester is issued by LRA.
For checking PPMF products, we have 50 kg capacity tensile tester with all computerised facilities.

We have full-fledged separate laboratory for checking Geotextiles for breaking strength, grab breaking strength, tear strength, puncture strength, apparent opening size, permeability, creep test as per ASTM as well as EN ISO standards. We have also all necessary facilities to check other Geo technical products such as pre-fabricated vertical drains, metal as well as polymer gabions, steel wire boulder nets etc. |
